What conditions can FAKTR treat? FAKTR can treat both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions such as tendinosis (TENDINOPATHY), sprains, strains, entrapment syndromes, fascial restrictions such as plantar fasciosis and ITB syndrome, myofascial pain syndromes, adhesive capsulitis, shin splints and post surgical recovery. This list of conditions that can be treated with FAKTR protocols are too numerous to list here!
Is FAKTR designed only for athletes? No, while FAKTR is a great way to treat athletes quickly, the concept can be applied to all ages and all body types. FAKTR is excellent for those involved in auto accidents, work related injuries, post surgical work including joint replacement, injuries suffered every day at home and conditions of daily living.
Who can be trained in FAKTR? We train MD's, DO's, ATC's, PT's, PTA's, DC's, OT's, OTA's, Dentists, Podiatrists, and Nurses currently.
Is FAKTR effective in treating fibromyalgia? No, FAKTR does not treat fibromyalgia, however, if someone has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and has a concomitant soft tissue/fascial complaint, FAKTR can be effective with some of the associated complaints.
Does FAKTR offer Continuing Education Units if I attend a class? Yes, FAKTR offers 13.5 hours currently through New York College of Chiropractic that are good for ATC's and DC's. Each state is different for Physical Therapists with some states also allowing 13.5 hours. Physical Therapists will need to contact their individual states for further information. Other clinicians attending will also need to check with their State Licensing Boards regarding their requirements.
